What about rashes on my abdomen?
Please talk to your Doctor or Dermatologist about when the irritation started, and the symptoms.
Skin is sensitive , and its now irritated after the c section, do what you need to calm it down. Soothing balms can be applied to your skin, but avoid the incision area until it is well healed. Avoid lotions with perfumes as this can also be irritating to the skin.
Please wash the belt while it is fastened in cold water with baby detergent, before putting it on. Wash the belt daily if your incision area
is infected or seeping, with some antibacterial soap on the part that goes over your incision, so that it does not get
reintroduced to the infection.
Wear the belt directly on the skin but, open the belt while you are reclined, if your not moving around too much.
If it works better for you, wear the belt over a clean cotton shirt, so its not directly on skin, just in case your skin has become
super sensitive after the surgery.

*Your skin has stretched during pregnancy, and hormonal changes after birth, plus
exposure to different surfaces in Hospital.
*Staph or other infections must be attended to, and you must be sure to talk to your Doctor if something
is wrong, red, hot, smelly or if you have a high fever, coming from incision or skin is not ok.
Some causes of rashes may be:
Hormonal changes

irritation from the surgical tape, drugs, chemicals, laundry soap, plastic or other surfaces at Hospital
